General Conditions

1- Price Indicated

Prices are set based on service provider rates, exchange rates, fuel costs, taxes, and other applicable fees. Prices may increase in the event of tax, fee, or charge increases authorized by a competent public authority. The client acknowledges that the contract price may be adjusted in case of a fuel price increase imposed by the carrier, an increase in airport or port taxes, or an increase in the exchange rate, provided that the applicable exchange rate 45 days before departure has increased by more than 5% since the purchase date. If the modification results in a price increase of less than 7%, excluding GST and QST, the client agrees to pay the difference. If the modification results in a price increase equal to or greater than 7% of the price, excluding GST and QST, the client may choose between (1) canceling this contract and receiving a full refund or (2) accepting replacement services that may be offered by the travel agent. However, no price modifications can occur within 30 days of departure. All prices listed are in Canadian dollars. For Quebec residents, the listed prices include the contribution to the Compensation Fund for Clients of Travel Agents. Insufficient participation may be a valid reason for canceling trips. If modifications need to be made, we will inform you as soon as possible.

If the traveler wishes to cancel their purchase, they must contact a Voyages A+ agent. A written notice will be required by Voyages A+, and the cancellation date will be the date Voyages A+ receives the notice. This notice will be used to calculate the cancellation fees. Voyages A+ will retain the deposit as non-refundable cancellation fees in addition to any other fees required by the providers.

In the event of trip cancellation or interruption due to non-compliance with payment conditions or the organizer's rules, these cancellation terms apply to the traveler.

4- Non-refundable Service

The traveler acknowledges that certain services in the trip are non-refundable. In case of an incident forcing the trip's cancellation or if the service provider cancels the service due to force majeure, the fees related to the service will not be refunded or credited. Non-refundable activities are indicated in the contract.

5- Unused Service

No refunds will be given for any unused service during the trip. If a traveler could not use a tourist service due to the fault of a Voyages A+ provider or any other third party, the traveler must pursue claims directly with the third party and exclude Voyages A+.

6- Payment and Credit Card Guarantee

By providing their credit card number verbally or through the Voyages A+ booking site for payment, the traveler agrees to the booking terms even if they have not signed any form, and this action automatically indicates acceptance of the general conditions and policies of Voyages A+. However, upon the agent's request, the traveler must confirm in writing that their card can be used without a signature. The traveler acknowledges and agrees that Voyages A+ is authorized to use the same credit card for final payments unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7- Transportation Services

The traveler acknowledges and accepts that Voyages A+ is not a carrier. Voyages A+ acts solely as an intermediary between passengers traveling by plane, train, bus, boat, or any other means of transportation, and the airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other service providers. It cannot be held responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the negligence or failure of any company or individual to provide services or materials related to these arrangements.

The traveler also understands that all technological services offered on board various carriers (Wi-Fi, DVD/CD player, microphone, etc.) are complementary services that may fail without notice or may be unavailable depending on the region or country. No compensation will be provided in such cases.

At any time and for any reason, cancellations, carrier changes, schedule changes, changes in the type, size, or class of vehicle or aircraft, itinerary or routing changes, transportation time adjustments, and other modifications may occur without notice or compensation. As Voyages A+ is not a carrier, it cannot be held responsible for any such cancellations, changes, or delays caused by the carriers.

8- Air Travel

Airline schedules are provided for informational purposes only and are subject to change without notice. Voyages A+ cannot be held responsible for delays, changes, or flight cancellations. It is the traveler's responsibility to verify flight schedules 24 hours before departure and return and arrive at the airport within the required time.

9- Accommodation

All hotels and motels used by Voyages A+ are of quality, with varying standards depending on the location. Major reasons may lead Voyages A+ to modify accommodations listed in the program, but always with a similar or superior category.  Rooms usually consist of one or two double beds, two twin beds, or a single bed with a private bathroom. The traveler will receive the list of accommodations and their contact information with the final travel documents.

10- International Hotel Practices

The traveler acknowledges and agrees to check-in after 3 PM and check-out before noon.

11- Room Assignment

Voyages A+ acts as an intermediary between you and service providers, making it impossible to guarantee a special room, floor, or specific view, as only hotel management assigns rooms to travelers.  No compensation or refund may be claimed from Voyages A+.

12- Photographs or Images

All photos, images, videos, or other illustrations are provided for informational purposes. Room decor may also vary.

13- Baggage

Unless otherwise specified, baggage is limited to one suitcase per traveler plus a carry-on bag if necessary. Baggage is under the traveler's supervision and transported at their own risk. Voyages A+ and its representatives assume no responsibility for baggage loss, theft, or damage.  Voyages A+ strongly recommends that each traveler purchase baggage insurance.

14- Tipping

If the traveler wishes to express satisfaction, Voyages A+ recommends following international standards: $3.00 per person per day for the guide and $3.00 per person per day for the driver.  The traveler may refer to their contract to determine whether gratuities are included.

15- Travel Insurance

To travel with peace of mind, Voyages A+ strongly recommends purchasing trip cancellation insurance for all trips within Quebec and comprehensive insurance (cancellation and medical) for all trips outside Quebec.

16- Proof of Citizenship

For destinations outside Quebec, it is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain, at their own expense, proper identification such as a birth certificate accompanied by photo identification and/or a valid passport (valid for 6 months after the return date), which remains the best form of ID. For further information, travelers may contact the embassy or consulate of the country they will be visiting in order to receive definitive information on all required travel documents. Specific information on the destination is available on the Government of Canada website: www.travel.gc.ca.

Failure to obtain the required documents may result in the carrier or the appropriate authorities denying the traveler boarding, and no refund will be issued. A passport and/or visa may be mandatory for certain destinations. Voyages A+ assumes no responsibility regarding passports, visas, parental authorizations, other travel documents, or any other required conditions or denied entry by the countries visited.

17- Travel Documents

Approximately 10 days prior to departure, the traveler will receive their travel documents, including the departure time and location, itinerary, hotel list, and general information, provided that full payment has been received. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that all documents match the reservation and that the names are identical to those on the official travel documents.

18- Confidentiality

The travel agent at Voyages A+ adheres to confidentiality principles regarding the personal information provided by the traveler. Voyages A+ will create a file in which the traveler’s contact information and the details of the services sold and provided by Voyages A+ will be securely and confidentially recorded. The information contained in this file will be used for the management of the traveler’s booking and to ensure the quality of the services provided. For this purpose, Voyages A+ may contact the traveler to follow up regarding their trip.

19- Changes and/or Name or Destination Correction/ Accuracy of Information

It is the traveler’s responsibility to provide accurate personal information for themselves as well as for any participants for whom they are making a reservation, including names exactly as they appear on passports, dates of birth, and any other information required by Voyages A+. Any name change, no matter how minor, or any modification to the required information will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to the applicable fees charged by the supplier. Moreover, any error in a traveler’s personal information related to a travel service may prevent that traveler from benefiting from those services, particularly for air transportation. In such cases, the traveler will not be entitled to any refund and will be responsible for any additional expenses incurred.

20- Traveler Responsibility

Any traveler who registers for one of the trips accepts the terms and policies of Voyages A+. If a traveler behaves in a manner that is harmful to other travelers or service providers and, despite a formal warning from the Voyages A+ representative, persists in such behavior, that traveler will be immediately expelled from the trip. All costs and losses resulting from their conduct will not be refunded by Voyages A+.

Furthermore, the traveler is responsible for being in sufficiently good health and autonomous enough to undertake the trip, and for ensuring they bring an adequate supply of any necessary medications and carry them at all times. At the time of booking, the traveler is responsible for informing a Voyages A+ advisor of any mobility challenges, fragile health, allergies or intolerances, specific dietary needs, pre-existing medical conditions, etc., so that this information can be communicated to the various suppliers—without guarantee, as the final decision rests with each supplier.

Vaccinations: For any questions regarding vaccinations, please contact your local travel clinic directly. Voyages A+ assumes no responsibility related to vaccination requirements in the countries visited.

21- Exclusion of Liability

Voyages A+ holds a Quebec travel agency permit, and its agents or representatives act as intermediaries for various transportation companies, service providers, and accommodations in Quebec, Canada, and abroad. In the event of faults, omissions, defects, or other issues caused by any service provider, Voyages A+ bears no responsibility whatsoever, without exception. The traveler hereby waives in advance any claim against Voyages A+ for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind, caused by any person involved in providing services or accommodations during the trip, whether in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada, or abroad.

The traveler is not entitled to any claim, refund, and/or compensation for any loss, cost, expense, damage, inconvenience, hardship, accident, death, delay, cancellation, change, loss of enjoyment, unavailability, illness, injury, disappointment, frustration, anxiety, or any other inconvenience—whether material, psychological, or physical—resulting from a cancellation, alteration, or modification of travel services due to an unusual and/or unforeseeable event, such as force majeure, including but not limited to: illness, accident, epidemic, pandemic, strike, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, storm, hurricane, natural disaster, earthquake, mechanical failure, war, acts of terrorism, demonstrations, labor disputes, riots, decisions by governmental or legislative authorities, bankruptcy (including supplier bankruptcy), the disappearance or closure of a supplier, and any other event beyond the control of Voyages A+ that may disrupt its operations or the services of its travel suppliers.

Furthermore, Voyages A+ reserves the right to refuse the registration of any individual or group. The traveler may not alter the course of the trip without prior agreement from the organizer and Voyages A+. Any unauthorized changes will remain entirely at the traveler’s expense, and no refund will be issued for services, accommodations, or arrangements not used as a result of such changes.

Any claim regarding a trip or stay must be sent by registered mail to Voyages A+ within a maximum of 14 days following the return date, for all trips in Quebec, Canada, and abroad. Registration for any of the programs implies full knowledge and acceptance of the general and specific conditions, as well as the responsibilities described in the contract.

22- Non-Included Activities

Voyages A+ assumes no responsibility for the quality or safety of activities available at the destination—such as excursions, optional tours, add-ons, and others—in which the traveler may choose to participate and which are not included in their travel package, nor for any representations made by the providers of such activities. Any verbal or written contract regarding these activities is presumed to be between the traveler and the provider, and the traveler participates at their own risk with respect to any loss, damage, or injury that may occur during the activity. Voyages A+ cannot be held liable in any way for any complaint or claim arising from participation in these activities, which are offered by third parties over whom Voyages A+ has no control.

23- Laws

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec. The contract was formed upon Voyages A+’s acceptance of the registration at its head office.
Holder of a Quebec permit.

24- Image Rights

By participating in a Voyages A+ trip, the traveler authorizes Voyages A+ to use their photo for specific purposes, including publication on social media, in printed or electronic materials, brochures, corporate documents, promotional tools, websites, and other similar media, all within a professional context. The traveler must formally notify Voyages A+ if they do not wish to appear in the aforementioned publications.

25- Errors and Availability

Voyages A+ and its suppliers reserve the right to refuse, correct, or cancel a reservation and/or the purchase of a travel service in the event of a printing error, mistake, or lack of availability. Availability and prices are confirmed only at the time the reservation/payment is finalized.
